Dr. George D. Bertherman joined the practice of Dr. Harry E. Pass in 1994. Since Dr. Pass’s passing in 2012, Dr. Bertherman has carried the practice forward.

Dr. Bertherman received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and graduated Cum Laude from Providence College in 1989. In 1993, he graduated with honors from the New England College of Optometry.
Upon graduation, Dr. Bertherman received the prestigious NEWENCO clinic Award which recognizes the school’s top clinical optometrist. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Rhode Island Optometric Association, and is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Robert M. Thacker
Before joining our practice in 2011, Dr. Thacker has worked at several offices throughout Rhode Island. Receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Providence College in 1989, he then graduated with honors from the New England College of Optometry in 1993.
Dr. Thacker is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Rhode Island Optometric Association and is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He's also served the Providence College Athletic Department as an eye care consultant since 1995.

Dr. Lynn Miller joined the practice in 2014. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended The New England College of Optometry and graduated with honors in 2012. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society for excellence in liberal arts and sciences. She is also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honor society.

Dr. Samantha M. Bertherman
Dr. Samantha Bertherman (Dr. Sam) joined the practice in 2021. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stonehill College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Sam then attended The New England College of Optometry and graduated in 2021. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honor society, the American Optometric Association, and the Rhode Island Optometric Association.
